Rebuilding Trust With Andover Educators

Andover is blessed to have some of the best educators in the Commonwealth. However, the current School Committee has shown to have a pattern of disrespect towards our educators. In 2021, DESE described that there was "palpable tension between the teachers’ association and the school committee."

During November 2023, Andover saw this conflict come to head which resulted in an unprecedented teacher strike after the School Committee failed to negotiate a contract in good faith. Distrust and animosity still remains between our Educators and Administration. Chris Shepley is dedicated to rebuilding and mending the relationship so we can have a respectful relationship between the AEA and APS Administration to serve our students in the best way.
